On Monday morning, a group of pupils from Years 5 and 6 will set off for a residential visit to Thurston Outdoor Education Centre in the heart of the Lake District. They will be accompanied by Miss Graham, Miss Anderson and Mrs Mohammed.
As previously discussed at the Thurston information meeting and in the letter handed out on Friday, we remind all parents/carers that they are very welcome to wave children off on Monday morning. We ask that pupils come to school from 8:30am onwards, through the main entrance. Should you have any queries or last-minute medical updates, please let a member of staff know.
Pupils should come to school in comfortable clothes so they are ready to begin activities upon arrival at the centre. The weather is, of course, likely to be very cold at this time of year so please ensure you pack lots of warm layers. Please note, packed lunches will be required on Monday morning.
I wish all pupils and staff an amazing week. I always loved my visits to Thurston. Beautiful surroundings, lots of fun and many life skills learned over the week!
